We bought this system to use on our farm with our two younger dogs. They were constantly getting into things, chasing chickens and ducks and needed to be supervised to keep them where we wanted them. We wanted them to be able to have freedom, but not get into trouble. It took one time of getting corrected and they learned. They don't try the fence at all. Once they hear the warning beep, they turn right around. This has allowed us to give them a big area to roam around in and we never have to worry about them. They are so happy now. The only things we don't love: the system can cover a large area, but you will need to purchase additional wire to do that. Also, we had the longer prongs on one of our dogs, and it caused a lot of skin irritation. We switched to the shorter prongs and had no problems.
