It worked much better than I hoped for and was not traumatizing to the animal or me. The collar might be a little heavy for small dogs but it adjusts easily for a good fit.

We are still working on the shock setting and if we will use it. But the fact we have two other attention grabbing settings that make a difference in his demeanor is so great.
