I used this directly in front of my wood fence since my German Sheppards decided to start digging out and it works perfect. I have not had a problem with them digging since

Works well. I am not disappointed. Keeps my Golden from jumping the fence and getting to the highway. I keep it on the lowest shock possible, and I would rather have a little shock then a dog who has gotten hit by a car on the highway. And to answer the question some may ask....yes I have tested the first 3 levels of shock from the collar, and I would not use a level on my dog that I have not tested on myself.

I used this in conjunction with a garden fence. With the fence as a visible boundary, training was not needed. My dog figured out really quick what the beep meant. Set up was easy. As a tip, the border settings are for the full diameter from the wire. The beep occurs in the first 20 percent of the distance, then you get the shock. For example, if you set it at 10, that effectively means five feet on either side of the wire (or above, below, etc). The beep will occur for 1 foot, then the shock will happen for the remaining 4 feet, getting stronger as you get closer. So, if you are doing a double loop design (which I did on the fence), you can actually put the wires closer than 5 feet if you adjust the boundary accordingly. Cool product. If it doesn't work, you can go up to the "Stubborn Dog" collar, which delivers quite a wallop. FYI, with this model, if you dog gets out, they will get shocked if they try and get back in....

love these fences great product works great..The cord is pretty long almost covered a quarter acre .. I would suggest getting extra you never know if your going to need it.We had a problem with aerating our lawn and the fence was breached they replaced the wires however with thicker wires now a 2 setting is not a 2 have to put it up another 2 digits.. so plan on that if you go with thicker wire.. The dial settings will need to be turned up..installing was really not hard.. We used a HOE and dug in at an angle and just lifted up chunk of the grass slipped wire in and then set it down.. No need to dig a trench and after we were done you didn't even hardly notice that the yard was dug up. our only down fall was we didn't dig deep enough in a few spots.. We did have teens helping LOL.. but honestly to save heaps of cash for professional installation i would recommend this to anyone.. We have a quarter acre took a couple hours.. with 4 people and well worth every penny.. !!iWe have stubborn beagles.. and when they see a rabbit they are gone! This fence keeps them in !The collars are great batteries last a long time.. couple months.. I dont suggest getting the wireless collars ones they dont last near as long. and are a bigger pain.. also wireless collars are a bit more bulky .Side note** if ever you get a break like we did .. ( had aeration done on yard had no idea we needed to tell them where the fence was ) But if you ever lose signal you can call a pro and they can fix and find whatever breaks easily for pretty reasonable considering what they would charge you if they did the initial installation.. Cost us $125 to fix 6 breaks in our line. Normally it would probably only be one or two breaks.. They charge per break.. so for a normal person that would be significantly cheaper....

We replaced our two year old in ground fence with this, for our three dogs. I was able to use the wire that we already had buried. I like that you can adjust each collar depending on how stupid.... I mean stubborn the dog is. The beep on the collar needs to be louder. When my dogs are excited, they don't seem to hear it. If it is your first time, I suggest a thicker gauged wire (lower the number, thicker the gauge). This wire can break if it is just pulled on.

I wasn't sure at first what to think about this fence but ive had it for 2 months now and it really does work. My dog is the terror of the neighborhood by no exaggeration chasing cars, picking on small dogs, chasing chickens etc he is a redbone coon hound and everyone around knows it lol He was getting death threats before I had to zipline him for the winter.. I had to do something and I could not leave him on the zipline forever so I got this. It was not easy to install it was tedious and hard work. I buried three quarters and ran some along fences were available. I installed 2 rolls of wire. I even hooked up the electric part myself!! My dog got zapped ONE time that first day and was pretty freaked out he sat on the porch for days thinking it was the only safe spot buuuut then he found his area and tho he ran through a few time the first month he has not got out but just a few times and he easily went back to his area. People thought I got rid of him bc hes been in his own yard! Its pretty awesome.. hes happy I'm happy everyone is happy. worth the money if you have little options and love your pet....
