Replaced the wire with upgraded guage but the fence itself is great. I purchased to go around the inside permitter of my 6 foot privacy fence to prevent digging underneath. Would never recommend without having a real fence as other animals could come in also if the dog is running he could cross the fence and the fence only works if the dog is working a few inches so if the dog got a few inches last the fence the collar would stopShocking and the dog would actuallyGet shocked if he had to return to the yard....

I think this is a nice choice since I tried lots of pet containments. I can't stay at my home for so long with my dogs, one named Kiki the other is Jojo, because of my job in the weekdays. To be frank, I attempted the woolen fence with nearly 3 ft around my yard. But what shocked me was that they dug down under the fence and fled to my neighbor... On the one side I was so upset with the costly fence, on the other side I can't bother my neighbor again. Then I tried the wireless containment for the first time but not this system. Actually, that was not desirable since the collar was so hard that it scraped off the hair around kiki's neck! I'm so sorry that I did not notice it. After it went through so many products I picked this containment system!!! The collar does not scrape off the hair and now they will back to the safe zone as long as they are near the fence, although the training was a bit long that was interesting....

This wireless containment system efficiently protects my dog from running into traffic. To the left side of my house is a busy road which is a very perilous trip for my dog if it walks on it. In order to keep my dog away from the road, I bought a traditional fence at first. It was an iron fence that cost me a lot of money and time to put it into work. But with the growth of my dog, I found it could jump over the fence! That was unbelievable cause the fence was 5 ft! Furthermore, it was scraped by the pointed top of the fence when crossing it. Therefore I determined to try this product under the recommendation of my friends. Frankly, this product was easy to set up and I only needed to follow the training instructs to chasten my dog. Luckily, my dog was smart that it quickly learned what the shocks mean. From then on, my dog hasn’t crossed the flags, which perfectly solved the trouble....

Very satisfied with this product. I was easy to set up and works amazingly well. My adopted dog came trained to the "Invisible Fence" so this worked well for him. I was mostly impressed with how the "level" setting is so precise. Slight variations in the setting are readily seen when testing the collar,, down to like six inches difference in activation distance from the wire. I also strung the wire on a chain link fence my dog had gone over previously. As an old Ham Radio guy I know that placing an antenna near other metal objects severely disrupts the efficiency. In this case, as stated in the manual, it seemed to make no difference, worked perfectly....

I've used one of these fences in every home I've owned. I also have installed these for my parents and sister. The entire process is relatively easy, you just have to really think about where you want your dogs to have access before you start laying the wire. My favorite way to install this is to attach it to a pre existing fence. I staple it to the fence about 1' high in order to be able to weed eat the fence line. I have buried it in the past and digging the trench is a pain but it's nice if you don't want to see the wire or if you don't have a physical fence. I've used both the regular and the "stubborn dog" version for many different dogs of many different sizes with good results. I will definitely repurchase if I move....

Such a great price and I was able to get it installed in 5 hours. We just used an edger tool but if you have several acres, it may be worth renting a cable installer tool. We have around 1/3 of an acre and followed the hourglass layout which allows the dog to be in the front or back yard, but requires them to go through the home when going from the front to back yard.Be careful when you take the cap off the collar to change the static level. My first time taking the cap off to change the static level, I used the tool and still stripped the cap. From that point on I had trouble getting the cap off and had to use pliers to get it off. I contacted and they were able to send me a replacement cap. A+ Customer service. I also purchased more replacement parts for the collar on here for only $6.99 for my own ease of mind. My recommendation is to buy a thicker wire than what it comes with.Training the dog was super easy. My dog got to the point of staying inside the perimeter with the tone only. I was nervous to use the static correction during Day 2, but quickly realized it was necessary as she ran through the fence to the neighbor on level 2. She didn’t even feel it on this level. I have a 12lb dog and level 3 correction level ended up working good for her. After a few days of walking the perimeter and being shocked a few times after we baited her with toys, she’s a little shy about being in the yard now but refuses to cross the fence. We can work on the shyness and can be expected. This is so worth your $$ and the is reliable and ready to help with any issues you may have....
